Crooked |
Branches |
I took these photos along the Dexter trail. I chose to take these photos because I felt like it showed a clear foreground and background. I like walking along this trail with my dogs. I chose to take these pictures earlier in the day for more light do clearly define objects. However, I had to lower the exposure because it was so bright. I am trying to represent a cluster of things in this photo.
Flow |
Still |
I also took these photos along the Dexter trail. I went up closer to the river to show lines in the picture. A problem I had was with the painting the blue was not pretty at all. To stop this I had to move layers around and change the opacity. I was trying to show two different paths with the river.
Bird's house |
Standing sticks |
These photos are at the beginning of the Dexter trail. I took these photos at first because I saw the bird, but then I decided I could do something with it for landscape. Although it was very bright I was able to turn down the exposure. The painting was not as hard, and all I had to do was alter the opacity a bit. The bird is supposed to represent differences.
Rushing |
Rapid |
This was near a bridge in Dexter. I chose to take these photos because I wanted to contrast still water with rushing water. The only problem was the bridge which I easily cropped out. The painting actually went very smoothly and was not hard to do. The river represents chaos. In order to make it look more like a painting I had to turn down the opacity.
Protruding |
Hanging over |
This is a river near Dexter. I chose this picture to show the branches bending down under the weight. The cool these pictures is there were lots of fishing lines hanging down from the branches but I cropped those outs. The painting was very hard because there were barely any colors so I turned up vibrance and turned down opacity. Overall, this location was ok, but could have been better if there were more colors.
